Stuttgart/Hannover, March 4, 2008. The Interflex Datensysteme GmbH & Co. KG, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, can look back on the most successful financial year (valuation as of 12/31) of the past 32 with an increase of 63.2 percent in comparison to the same period of the previous year (5.7 million euros in 2006). Revenue in the product area of Interflex also rose to an overall high level of 72.9 million euros, which is 2.7 million euros more than in 2006. This means that the return on sales for normal business activity is almost 13 percent (12.8 percent). Interflex has therefore increased its market leadership in combined software and hardware solutions for security with biometrics, as well as time management and personnel scheduling. The number of employees was 527, a minor reduction in comparison with 2006. The first successes were also recorded in newly developed markets like Russia. The newly-established location in Moscow contributed almost 1.2 million euros to sales.

Despite extensive investments in the development of a new software platform at the German locations of Durchhausen, Erlangen, and Karlsruhe, it was possible to realize these distinct improvements in the operational business. The area of consultation and solutions for sectoral personnel scheduling even increased disproportionately by 8 percent in comparison to the company’s total sales, and contained approximately 100 employees in Erlangen. Sales of the planning software SP-EXPERT made a major contribution here. For the year 2008, the management of Interflex predicts moderate growth with a further stimulation of the economy.

Growth drivers were extensive orders from well-known companies in the German-language area (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), as well as in other European countries and Russia, while customers such as Iberia, Metro AG, PricewaterhouseCoopers AG, BASF AG, and Pictet Banquiers & Cie trust in the complete solutions of Interflex. Another factor was that the rallying 2007 economic situation has clearly increased the willingness for cross-industry investments in European economies. The company profited noticeably from this.

In addition to the positive economic forecast, new innovative software and hardware products - as well as previously untapped synergy potentials in the area of personnel scheduling - will contribute to a successful business trend in 2008. Moreover, the quick expansion of business activities in Russia, France, and Great Britain will establish growth on a wider European basis.
