Interflex Datensysteme GmbH & Co. KG, having its headquarters in Stuttgart, was founded in 1976. Workforce Management, consulting for Workforce Productivity, security systems with biometric recognition and badge production as well as personnel scheduling and production data recording (PDR) are the company's core business segments.

With more than 14,000 complex solutions installed throughout Europe and about 4.5 million people administrated, Interflex is now holding the leading position in its business segments on the European market. In the previous fiscal year, the 535 employees were able to achieve a 70.2 million Euro revenue and an 8 percent rate of return. The 25 percent share of international sales underlines the achievements made in the struggle for globalization of our company.

 

Merger with Good Prospects

Since June 13, 2000, Interflex has been a subsidiary of the American Ingersoll-Rand Group (IR) at Hamilton, Bermuda. With an annual revenue of 11 billion US-dollars and an cash flow of more than 790 million US-dollars in 2006, Ingersoll Rand is not only one of the leading industrial conglomerates in the United States but ranks among the Fortune 500. Besides this, Interflex can benefit from a network of thirty five branch sales and service offices all over the world.

Interflex is the only Ingersoll Rand-subsidiary in Europe to offer complex solutions in the safety and security sector, human resources, time and production data management. Interflex offers high-end solutions in the time management and security sector. In 2005 the company acquires Astrum-HR, Erlangen, one of the leading companies offering solutions for personnel scheduling and Workforce Productivity in Europe.

 

Positioning and Markets

Time management, personnel scheduling, access control and production data management form the foundation of the Interflex product range. Mainstay of turnover is IF-6020-Time, a software product. Interflex provides all-in-one-solutions, from the development and production of hardware and software up to the area-wide sales and service net. In the German-speaking area, Interflex is represented by 16 branch sales and service offices. The marketing network of the Stuttgart company is completed by another five branch offices and six agencies on the European market.

 

Market Segmentation and Customers

In the previous fiscal year, 47 percent of the total revenue was attributed to the industrial sector, 34 percent to the service sector and 19 percent to public and local authorities. Interflex is represented at 36 % of the 100 top-selling enterprises in Germany. This share amounts to about 26 percent in the newly formed German states. Besides this, focus is on small and medium-sized businesses where we are going to recruit at least half of our customers.

 

Cooperative Activities and Business Contacts

In the time management sector, ADP/ Taylorix and PeopleSoft (now Oracle) two software providers for human resources management, consider Interflex as a competent business partner. In addition to the above, Interflex is in close contact with leading providers of economic standard software and a certified SAP business partner. With the integration and connection of about 500 SAP-solutions, Interflex can count on a large pool of experiences in the implementation of such projects.
